au revoir, mon amour!
The sky burst apart above Old Montreal.
Raindrops hit, leapt from the side-walk, warm, cooling!
Moist eyed, we stared at each other,
water soaked to the thighs.
Our time had passed,
for we too, were parting.
It, therefore, seemed only fitting,
the empathetic sky should weep so violently.
Perhaps heralding, a future rainbow...?
