Hi! My name is Erica, I am 21 years old, and I go to Drew University (in Madison, NJ, USA). I will soon declare a major in English (I do not know what my concentration or minor will be yet, though). I love to read (obviously). My favorite writers are Jamaica Kinkaid, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Sylvia Plath, and many more. I also write poetry and short fiction (though I am working on a novella now). My love for reading first started when I was 13 years old, which is when I first started to get sick. I have a chronic illness, but, thanks to modern medicine, it's not too bad. I know that most avid readers start reading when they are younger, but I just never had an interest until I was house-bound and bored for two years of my life. Now I love reading!
