Me and mine, 'id in the shadows"

I have an ego
<---------this---------> BIG!
But you should've seen
the one that got away!

I'm so full of myself
that, if translated
into the physical...
I would weigh a thousand
and one pounds!

I am a multi-personality,
exclusive mutual admiration
society, and you have to be me
to join!

Once one of me narrowly missed
being black-balled!
We are all still recovering from the trauma!

Luckily, number seven of infinity
had an on-line psychiatric
certificate...

Shall WE continue???????

Very different, humorous and sarcastic. Fun to think about.

This seems like a riposte to Groucho's famous remark that he would not want to join any society that would have him!

But there I was thinking that you were one of the modest modest of chaps!

I might have thought you'd spilled the beans as to who Obama was going to choose as his VP - except, of course, that you would NEVER accept the second spot!

I was just thinking of the job applicatons that people have to fill out and, if there was no constraint, how I would REALLY like to start one off!:)

I hope to rest my EGO for a couple of weeks, or so, sailing Alaska...might even be a poem in it!:)

Not that I didn't let him down softly, but I had to explain that a prior commitment to run for the Primeministership of Canada stood in the way!:(

I love quirky, humorous poems like this.
It has a unique vibe to it that I found refreshing and entertaining.

I guess I can indulge in wishful thinking poetizing! As an extrovert in what passes for reality, I am sadly? lacking in the needed skills...Thank you Virgil for your comments.

I would return the compliment several fold, as I have enjoyed all your writings!

Thank you indeed!

I shall miss the opportunity to write and comment over the next couple of weeks as I am taking my wife on a birthday cruise to Alaska. She has always wanted to see it and so, we fly-out tomorrow!
