I have numerous text documents to work on. Many of them are written with Microsoft Word or just done with NotePad. While working, I usually work with 6-7-8 documents open at the same time. So, many Word and Notepad windows are open. It is very hard to manage, quite messy and confusing.

I need a text editor software like Excel (I ve sent a photo); in excel software you can open just one window but work on multiple documents/sheets, and it is very easy to manage.
So my question is, Is there a way in Word to work with Excel Sheets sense? Or Is there a word edit software similiar? (See attachment please)

I am not aware of any. Given the amount of resources used by .docs, even if compared to very complex .xls files (primarily caused by formatting), updating the former might be very resource consuming.
One possible workaround (especially if the .docs are relatively small) would be to combine each into the same file (much like chapters). One could also, if having many documents open at once is important, copy some of them into one of the on-line WPs (e.g., GoogleDocuments).
Cheers,
John
