I hid from death in a cemetary,
i met a child with bandaged eyes
pointing to a burning tree,
i swore she was the reaper disguised.

I fled and hid from death
beneath a derelict railway bridge
i met a child with burning eyes
and eternitys breath pointing
towards an oncoming train.

Death snared me on a train
decorated with moving images
of my life history,my bandaged
screams hang in the air,
a child emerges from
a burning tree her eyes
are a tattooed skelton key,
with blazing clarity i see
a valley of glass awaiting me.

reminds me of our hope for eternity, i also get a feeling that through fearing death we eventually fear life itself.

i think the line that hit home the most for me was...

"a valley of glass awaiting me."

in all honesty this line scares me, like death is a reflection, staring at yourself for eternity.

it makes me feel that our final judgment is given by ourselves.

sorry i didn`t comment on the way you wrote this piece or anything like that, but this poem inflicted quite a response in my mind and for that i am truly grateful, this is easily one of my favorite poems.

great job

It quite reminded me of "Because I could not stop for Death" by Emily Dickinson.

I do not know if I can say Great Job There here, because I need more elaboration of the last stanza, please.
