Sonnet In G Flat

From my perspective I see only mocking Pain;
And Loneliness dances with the wind.
The voices whisper that I’m going Insane;
Trouble knocking at the door uninvited again.
I think that must be Heartache over there raising a toast;
Fear peering through the hall looking glass.
Loss hovering around, a forbidden ghost,
Despair dropping in on its familiar path.
Tears become friends, Sorrow a boon companion;
I walk with Hurt always close to my side.
Memories taunt, like echoes in a dark canyon,
I’ve said it doesn’t bother me, and I lied…
Is there Hope beyond Hope, Balm in Gilead?
I pray that I find it before I go raving mad…

Even Atlas could not carry that litany of woes on his shoulders!

Wow, I cannot believe how stunning this is! So incredibly painful, but sincere and beautiful. Wow!

Heart-rending poetry Pen, skillfully done too. You are, always, the master of the form. Hope you are okay. Be well :)
