I'm interested these days in the works of the Egyptian-British writer, Ahdaf Soueif (http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahdaf_Soueif). I know that since she's an Egyptian, I should be the one who knows about her, but the fact is I never read any of her books
I'm planning on buying one of her books, either In The Eye of the Sun (http://http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eye-Sun-Ahdaf-Soueif/dp/0747545898) or The Map of Love (http://http://www.amazon.co.uk/Map-Love-Ahdaf-Soueif/dp/0747545634/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1219146554&sr=1-1). I'm still not decided (I only have the money to buy one book now...I ran out of cash cuz of all the books I bought before :p).
I was wondering if anyone read any of Soueif's works, and if so what do you think of them. And also which book should I start with. I know that The Map of Love was shortlisted for the Booker Prize, but I was also recommended In The Eye of the Sun by a professor in college. Now I'd like to know what you guys think too.
Thanks in advance for any help :)
