Are you pasting a link in to another website as opposed to an image from your comp hard drive?
Some sites don't allow you to have a `live' link to their site for `hosting' images.

what does it mean when i try to upload a cute cute kitty...
I once tried to upload a cute cute kitty and I got a message: THAT KITTY IS TOO CUTE; PLEASE TRY A LESS CUTE KITTY. So, apparently, they have software installed that limits cuteness. Of kitties.

Right, so in the `Edit Avatar' area, hit the `Use Custom Avatar' option then `Browse' to find it on your desktop and upload it from that. Hopefully it's the right size ;)

We wonder how cute cute kitty it had to be.
We mean, We have a cute kitty as an avatar and We had very few problems with it and those were solved with just three minutes of hacking and removing the kitty-cuteness barrier of our avatar.

Way to go, pal. You've compromised the security of this site, putting us all at risk.
These adorable kitty avatars are often trojan horses (http://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/sDefinition/0,,sid14_gci213221,00.html) (or "trojan kitties"), containing horrible, nasty viruses--just like kitties in real life--that can effectively cripple or even shut down a site and impair the computers of all who traffic there. The general rule is the cuter the kitty, the more harm it is capable of unleashing. As I look upon the face of your adorable little kitty, I cannot help but wonder at what awful, malignant secrets lurk beneath its fair, bewhiskered exterior--and the certain doom that faces us all!

Are you sure? You don't mean this (http://www.historyforkids.org/learn/greeks/religion/myths/trojanhorse.htm) ?

Ah, yes, I remember the days when 'Trojan Horse' referred to the invasion of Troy, indicated through The Iliad, and not used as computer-jargon for a virus/worm.
Someday, there may exist an Aenid virus, or Metamorphoses.

I'd love to have a pet bobcat, though I don't have enough space here probably for one to get enough exercise, and getting it fresh meat would be a problem too. :D
amuse was having problems with uploading the pic from her computer, so, I merely offered to help upload it for her `remotely', which I am able to do for anyone else who wants to have one but can't, for whatever reasons, do it with their own computer.

Getting it fresh meat a problem??? Thought you could take care of that problem by using misbehaving members for that purpose... You know those members who disappear all of a sudden... and never heard of again??? The ones who are 'banned'... :D

am very confused about the MTV thing :D ? but i've always loved cats. we had dogs and cats growing up; they were always best friends, and the cats were precious! i even was so lucky as to have our momma cat give birth twice in my room, and stay in my open closet with her babies, nursing and carrying them from under my bed by the scruff of the neck (maybe she had them there because she liked the privacy?) and her daughter did the same once as well. our love affair goes back a long, long time. plus two summers ago Happy and i adopted each other; she and my brother's cat are two of the smartest, most loving souls i've known in my life.
Scher, what about people who vote for book club books and never read them? do they become offerings too? :p

I was just wondering if kitties have become the latest inclusion to fast-moving popular culture fads... Are the kitties the new 'in' thing?? ;) although you seem to like cats regardless :)
As for those who vote but never read the books in the Club, don't go putting ideas into my lil' old head, girl! :brow:

The thing that We like cats is not a thing of fashion or trend, it comes from early childhood.
When We were six, We imagined a realm full of cats. There were many different cats; they had different personalities and I tried to imagine adventrues for them, but, alas, we didn't have enough fantasy to imagine interesting enough adventures. But still.
Which one of your alter-egos you talking about? Or did I just see an 'I' there? *evil grin* :p
