Note: There are more chapters than I am going to post for right now, but I would like to see if any of you would think this would be enjoyable as a children's book. Please comment, and tell me if you would like more. Also the story is currently called Adventures of Pete and Kayla, but if you have a better title, please suggest! I just put a random amount of chapters so read as many as you'd like.
Chapter 1
Yay! It is the first day of pre-school. I slump into my classroom with a ribbon in my curly brown hair. I look in the mirror on the outside of the door. My eyes are huge! My teacher’s name is Mrs. Choco. Lots of chubby, dumb people are looking for chocolate. I would tell them they are already fat and shouldn’t eat more chocolate, but my mom told me that wasn’t nice after I told some lady she had a big butt, in the grocery store. Well, it WAS true. Surprisingly, Mrs. Choco gives us chocolate. I hear some dude next to me mutter, “I stand corrected.” I don’t know why. After Mrs. Choco hands out chocolate to the whole class, some bullies, Marty, Frank, and Chuck start stealing the pieces from every kid. You would not believe how fat Marty, Frank, and Chuck are. They are like horses.
Chapter 2
When the bullies steal my chocolate I feel like crying, but I actually say, “Give that back you fat head!” He reminds me of the lady in the grocery store.
Chapter 3
After school I run to my bus because I see the bullies practicing punches in the air. Almost as soon as I get on the bus, it pulls out of the school parking lot. But it does not leave without Chuck, Marty, and Frank. FIGURES! The reason I am late even though I ran is because I decided to ask the teacher to go to the bathroom during naptime. Then I stole some food from the cafeteria. I am not a bad person-just tough. My mom calls me an alpha. ALPHA??? What does that mean?
Anyway, I get on the bus and sit in an empty seat. For some reason a backpack is in it. When we start going, the kid who was muttering in class, came up from under the seat and sat beside me.
Chapter 4
“What’s your name?” He asks.
“Kayla,” I tell him. “Did those fat bullies steal your chocolate?” I ask. Pete (the kid) said that they didn’t, but he ate it. Chuck, Frank, and Marty are all looking at us when we glance up. Uh oh! They heard what I said about the FAT bully thing. I guess this means we are in for some trouble. Pete and I slide under the seat. This was Pete’s second time being under the seat today.
Chapter 5
I get on my stomach on the ground under the middle of the blue padded seats. The bus comes to a sudden stop and I slide to the front of the bus. I hit my head on some people’s shoes, which doesn’t really matter until I hit a fifth grade boy’s shoes. Now Chuck, Frank, and Marty are the least of my problems. Luckily, we are at my bus stop and I get off the bus before the guy can put a dent in my face.
Chapter 6
I wonder where Pete is. I remember seeing him crawling down the aisle as I was sliding through the seats. I look back and he sprints up to me. I walk on the sidewalk along with Pete. I walk on the sidewalk because Mommy says it is dangerous to walk on the street. Plus, one time I ate a piece of charcoal off of the street. It tasted good. Don’t try it though! I tell Pete I have to go because I have something important to do. Really all I have to do is eat a snack. I am not going to eat charcoal. Maybe I will eat some wood. Just kidding!! Jeez!! Mommy would freak out if she heard me say that.
Chapter 7
As I walk into the front door, I hear Pete yell, “I’ll bring you chocolate tomorrow.” This is MY kind of friend.
Chapter 8
I wake up excited that I have a friend who will bring me food. I pick up my Dora the Explorer backpack and say goodbye to Mommy. Then I pick up two pieces of charcoal from the street and put them in the front pocket of my backpack.
Chapter 9
When I get to school Marty sees me. He chases me around the playground like a Wild Goose Chase. I run under the slide hoping he is too fat to fit. Luckily Pete shows Marty chocolate and Marty tries to get it. Pete slips the chocolate to me. Marty being too stupid to notice I had the chocolate keeps following Pete. Just then, Frank jumps out of no where and tries to crush Pete with a body slam, bounces back up, and lands on Chuck. Marty glares at me like it is my fault.
Chapter 10
Marty is sitting behind me in class. He keeps glaring at me. I can’t help smiling at the fact that Frank tried to chase Pete and broke the slide. The staring finally gets so annoying that I poke Marty’s eyes. He starts doing this dramatic cry and rolling on the floor. It looks really funny because his lopsided stomach makes him fall on one side like a bad bouncy ball. I know this is mean, but I start cracking up. Last time I started cracking up Mommy got mad because I called an old guy a shriveled up raisin. (I am only in pre-school… stop criticizing me.)
Chapter 11
Mrs. Choco walked over and said, “What happened?” Marty replied that he was hurt so badly that he would probably go blind and his eye would get red and fall out. He also told Mrs. Choco it was me that hurt him. I take a picture from a kit in my backpack. It was a picture of a woman who had Mrs. Choco printed on her shirt. She is picking her nose and saying ‘two plus two equals five.’
“I did NOT draw that!!!” Marty yells. Mrs. Choco lets us both off with a warning.
Chapter 12
I guess Marty is really mad because at recess he, Frank, Chuck, and this BIG girl named Bernardnala all get into an angry mob and look at us threateningly. I kick Bernardnala, trip Marty and Chuck, and bounce off Frank. Then I run off and Pete follows. I had already eaten my chocolate from the day before. I open the front pocket of my backpack and give Pete a piece of charcoal. He refused it, but I try mine. It doesn’t taste as good as when I was one and a half. Pete threw his piece. I feel like beating him up, but I don’t. We could work as a team with my strength and his smartness. Don’t get me wrong. I am smart, but I enjoy using my hands more than my words. I get easily annoyed too.
Chapter 13
We are looking at the broken slide. Then I hear yelling. Marty and Chuck jump off the playground. Their blown up faces stopped their fall. I feel kinda bad since Marty already has a black eye. “That’s gotta hurt,” I exclaimed. It felt good to see a bully bullying himself. I just want a little more revenge. (Okay maybe a lot.) I sneak into the sand and pull Marty’s pants down. He is already lying down so I easily pull them pretty far. Then I realize I won’t be able pull off the pants if Marty has his big fat shoes over his big fat feet on. I tug the shoes off and throw them. One lands on the American Flag pole. PATRIOTIC!! I run away, Marty’s pants under my arm. I am not worried at all about Marty catching me. He would take like a half hour to get to me across the playground. Finally he gets here and I tell him I left his pants on the swing set.
