nothing as symbolic as ash
nothing as profound as bible verse
nothing as casual as suicide
he drew his last breath

all of his poetry gone
lost in an unreliable future
all of his old friendships sailing with tattered sails
at least he's still afloat

a mind that gives no peace
when eden is confronted
a premeditated act of violence goes unpunished
in this jaded world

this is his first creation since his fear of death
now all ye ladies weep in unison
for this golden hearted boy
has turned to rust

A sad poem and turn of events!

"You should have backed up your Shakespear,
So that you could start quoting him now!!
Backed up your Marlow, so you could throw in
a quaint..."Damned I trow!"
Saved all your best poems, forever!
Worked out on a scale one to ten!
Then, if your hard-drive cannot stay alive,
you'd retain the best of them!

(with apologies to "Brush up your Shakespear!")

goldenrod.

Yeesh, the title alone is good advertisement for those that sell back-up HDs! I sooooo need to back up my HD as I have everything on my PC.

Very clever and well done.

Lot's of strange creatures lurking and eyeing our hard drives nowadays.
