Was it you, or was it me?
Seems I'm the one who's paying.
And, they try and say love is free.

Here's my tears for your words.
Here's my frustration for your inability to see.
And there went that little piece of my heart, just for you to keep.

You took one glance.
We looked perfect together.
I'm the only one who dove right in to taking the chance.

Don't give yourself the glory.
To think that you broke me.
I'm still alive.

You'll crawl right back to my doorstep.
I'll answer the door, with a smile.
And you'll never forget.
About, the girl you should have kept.

Any ideas for the title?

every line in this poem could stand alone, but together they make a story, one i`m glad to read.

the first line is VERY powerful, but my favorite was...

"Don't give yourself the glory.
To think that you broke me.
I'm still alive."

it was full of despair in the first few lines, and took an optimistic turn near the end, i really like these kind of poems, reminders that even though sorrow finds us all, we can all find our own happiness.

i like how the last line ended full of pride, that you wouldn`t take back the source of all your pain.
