What happens if you conceive thyself to be slacken in your studies gradually? For instance, today, you had just learn your subjects.Alas,on the morrow, you cannot remember anything you had learnt! Oh my God! Does that mean that the brain is not working properly?

Oh my God,if that happens to me,I would be dead.Generally, when I am revising,I take out a notebook and write down definitions and examples. When I am going to have a slumber,I would grab that notebook and revise through.I hope thou will consider doing that.

Great toil of you.A notebook would save the day.

What other perspective can you think of?

Ah,many thanks, except all this information,do thou know any videos that is related to this topic?

Hold on,let me share with thou a genuine story of me.
I am 13 years old,and I have been studying hard and learning vocabularies, obviously.I realize that most of my vocabulary is forgotten,oh,what a disaster, literally. As you know, you also will forget some vocabularies, wouldn't you?If you don't,why is that so????

Oh,it is a novelty thing that you had cited that you're 13 years old.Your vocabulary is decent by the way...Thus,have no worries,my friend! Just learnt 3 words a day, that would be better!!!

Wow,this is a hot topic.=O We have lots of negotiations going on.

Okay,I see.I accede your idea about me.=) Well,I conceive that 3 days per word would be suitable. How about YOU?

Hold on once again. Our brain size is compact, aren't they? Thus,I believe that if we learn too much vocabularies in one day,our brain would hurts. Is it literally or not???

Furthermore, famous author, for instance,William Shakespeare, can write with great language.Did his head hurts while he racked his brain to come up with his play?

I accede that our brain will literally hurt. Our eyes are strained and our brains are racking for a solution. All these require energy, thus, our head feel hurts.

Furthermore, famous author, for instance,William Shakespeare, can write with great language.Did his head hurts while he racked his brain to come up with his play?

Of course he will,he is literally like us human beings!

MANY thanks, wilbur lim.I need more people to participate in this please.I have one more doubt, which is that our brains are compact, and in it there's a vast amount of information. What will happen if all of them flow out? Oh-my-God!

My people,please help!

Do you mean "slacking"?
Also, " had learned" is a more contemporary term for the past participle of "learn."

Humanity - Slow and Steady Wins the Race as the proverb goes! I think maybe you are trying to do too much in too short a time. The suggestion of three words a day is a good one.

Words on their own don't mean much. Have you tried making a sentence with your new word in it? If you learn it in a context you may remember it more readily.

Write yourself little notes with the words you want to learn - one word to each note, preferably - stick the notes in places you are always using so that every time you look there, you see your word. (My dad once complained he could hardly see to shave himself because I had lists of Latin vocabulary stuck on the mirror in the bathroom!)

Do you learn better by sight or by sound? If by sight, try writing out the words several times, the action of making the letters helps you to remember them. If by sound, say them aloud over and over. Try a combination of these tricks.

As to whether we can ever 'fill up' our memory - the brain may well have a finite capacity but no one has ever found out how extensive it is. There are large areas of the brain that appear to be unused - it's thought they are there for emergency purposes: if part of the brain is damaged, new neural paths can be created to replace the damaged sections, though only to a certain extent. Lots of exciting research going on there.

As for Shakespeare getting a headache, I'd guess he did! At the time of his most intensive writing activities, he was involved in the managment of the Globe theatre, as well as rehearsing and acting in the plays, not just his own but other people's too. Probably the only time he had for writing was at night, by candlelight, with a quill pen - sounds like a recipe for a headache to me! :D
