"Four Horsemen"

Four horsemen gallop in the vane.
Once more, the dogs of war
let slipped again!
A cry of protest, a cry in vain!
From those who war, abhor!

Give them reasons for the fray,
no heed to them, do they pay!
Their wish, more study,
more delay.
Hold leashed, the dogs of war!

Carnage, destruction, now abound,
in this, the new found killing ground!
The dead,
impervious to the sound,
of the baying dogs of war!

"Left and Right Hemispheres."

The bull in the china shop,
Sat alone on a shelf.
All else lay in ruins,
Except for itself!

It had not sought a corner,
Nor a dark place to hide,
It had shown no concern,
for its ceramic hide!

The bull, in the china shop,
snorted and pawed.
No heed paid to objects
as they crashed to the floor.

Alas ballerina!
Fare-the-well, rose in vase!
A shouted Olé!
Then, a loud round of applause!

i enjoyed reading these pieces
reminds me of how we desire destruction, but only towards certain things.
great rhyme schemes i found it addicting.

Wow wow wow, that is pretty excellent! Had to look up some words in the dictionary and was happy to do so!

I must admit I did not understand everything, especially in the first poem, but I love the rhythm and the rhymes, I loved your exclamation marks too!
I love how we see things from both sides, and I love the paradox in the second poem, the bull with its fragility and the fact that it stays intact. I love the way you wrote about destruction, this is really well done!
