hi all!
I have a sticky pb: I need as many (academic) articles of critical analyses of the male characters in Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights from a FEMINIST POINT OF VIEW, and i've been online for days trying to come up with a few, but all i get are paraphrasings or mere character analyses. Please help!!!!

Got a university nearby? You might consider stopping by and looking through the catalogue of theses and dissertations. A feminist perspective on Bronte's characters happened to be the topic of my college roommate's thesis, and I know she found a ton of info. Even if you only find one, you can check out the bibliography and get an idea where to go next. Besides which, most university librarians are very helpful, even if you aren't a student there.

And of course, you can check the main catalogue too. References you find in a college library are almost certain to be more impressive than ones you find online. Sorry I don't have anything directly helpful.

Snukes!
I really didn't expect such a swift reply; I'm actually going to a university today, and the reason why I did not go there before was that the professor herself requested the articles be found online, and sent to her via e-mail for approval. But i really am tired and don't care much anymore (you know that jaded feeling you get when it is too late to panic? :goof: ); i might just as well find one on paper, scan it or type it then send it... all before friday. Anyway, I'm really touched you answered so fast and I'm taking your advice. Thank you so much and I'm up for a chat any time!
Ciao

Thanks! But, which site is that? I didn't give you a site regarding your project. The only url is my site in my signature. Is that the site you mean? Or did you find something with google. Also, search on Nafisi "Reading Lolita in Tehran", as you may find some of the material you are looking for.

By site I actually meant many which discuss Woolf's "A Room...", and yes, I found them all on Google. Oh and sorry, I haven't checked your own site yet, but I definitely will, as soon as the dust settles:)... You know I have no idea why I had shunned Woolf before; I'm a fan! But I automatically went for the more "academic" critics (Sowalter, Gilbert, Gubar...); student's mistake! Anyway, again thanks a lot for everything and I'll get back to you abt your personal website Bye!
