Thought #1

"fool's-utopia"

I would sleep
until the dawn of a new age.
While fire from the heavens,
cleansed this earth.

I would awaken
to a fresh beginning.
An Eden, devoid of the serpent.

A nirvana, never needful of a Noah.

Nor a Christ-like redeemer...

Thought #2

"in sorrowful retrospect."

I shall carry a scar forever,
because of this affaire!
On my heart, a spiral cicatrix,
undissolved stitches of despair!

Passion cools to embers.
Embers turn to ash.
Lust to love, too late realized.
Thrown out, with the trash...

I really like these two poems. The first stanza of the first poem is often how I feel. The last stanza of the second poem has something great in the rhyme.

You have a wonderful idea, technique of constructing poems, of phrasing your sentences and of course of writing with rich ideas. I envy you and of course would like to write the way you do. But not mimicking you but in doing so is a kind of sacrilege.

Two thoughts that came to me around the same time on two following nights, staring at the ceiling...

I try not to play favourites, but I think I am of the same mind!

Thank you "blaze"...sometimes they come in bunches and then, a pause that refreshes?
