SQUINTING

By Khe Iem

swiveling one’s head
rolling one’s feet

accidentally confronting but
keeping silent while

passing through
A town of half-breeds (angered)
punching the air, lost to the world
vast
buttocks, thighs and breasts. Wandering crazily,
confined. The pounding of loosened throats. East and
West. Faces grimacing,

squinting

a very interesting use of language and of looking at the marginalized. It's good.

This I say is a wonderful experiment with the style of writing poetry.
