"boundless?"

Should I lay interred
a thousand years,
wouldst same the sun warm the rivulets
of my lover's tears,
upon the losing?

And, while yet
the gnarled yew grows so slow,
still she mourns,
finding no other to provide full solace, but for the choosing.

That soonest, when she dies,
would that wind rain, patient time's erosion, reveal to her, blue skies. Once more to pleasure, though in empty sockets...phantom eyes.

To fully satisfy to sate.
Fuel hope that, her being, now shackle and constraint of lover free. Might then, all earthly bonds dissolved,

ascend!
*******
"soul-itude"

I am a star, lost in the firmament.
One star, sad, lonely and blue.
Wandering outside of my galaxy,
I yearn, once more, to be with you.

Deep in space, absolute zero place.
Now a cold, ice-age cocoon for me.
Love, sadness of what used to be.
Always in, review.

Sightless eyes, seeing no paradise.
Never a chance of winning!
I journey on, under my own pulsive curse. No new beginning, what was the sinning?

One soul, that no longer seeks its mate. One heart, that has forever, sealed its fate. Once, two hearts, they beat as one.
Now one throbs, close to a heart that's new.

And I now know, I have lost you.

Hard as I try to resist your archaicisms, I was taken, especially by "soul-itude."

This is so beautifully written, and have flows of spontaneity, of course rare elsewhere.

Thanks! They were both written sometime ago when, you might say, I was in a more romantic mood!

"soul-itude" was penned with the music of the song "Evergreen" running around in my head. The only way I could think of, to get it out, was to write my own lyric!
