…One stormy night when I was awakened by a thunder in the skies, half asleep, rubbing my swollen, sleepy eyes, I saw my dreams reflecting in the raindrops and falling into the pond, and get dissolved and lost, never to be found again, never to be dropped again….

On a moonlit night, on my windowpane, as drops of rain trickled
In the pond outside, I saw the waves, of water as they rippled
Such an ideal whim, but my heart was grim, in a sense of doom it stippled
Ah! My thought was crippled

In a dreamers dream, could so supreme, colors have descended
It seemed as if, this tale of love, could never soon have ended
The rainy night, the gusting wind and trees that danced and bended
But ah! My will suspended

Then from the dark, so amply smart, a princess or a bandit
On a chariot made of gold and hue, she smiled at me, when landed
The moonlight brightened, as it wandered, through the curves her figure presented
I saw, in awe, enchanted

Trickling down her dark eyelashes, I breathed heavy, as rainwater washes
And baths the tall and slender beauty, which every squall of wind adores
A wave of warmth, and my body astound, as from her lips in a whisper’s sound
Came a silent song that stole remorse

But cruel are dreams when they end
This one followed a similar trend

When I went to her and tried to touch
It was mist and rain and nothing much

In the pain of loss that was to creep
In a trance I thought what a friend to keep

A love forever and ever so deep
And there she was with a smiling peep

And then I fell asleep
… Dreaming of the water lily

…And the dissolved dreams had surfaced again, adhering to the half submerged petals of the water lily…

Very impressive, sarim. I love your imagery, and word usage - how rare to find a poet who still rhymes (and rhymes well!).
In your second stanza, however, the word 'bended,' though it rhymes, should grammatically print as 'bent.'
I look forward to future poetry, if you feel like sharing. Good luck!
