Scheherazade

Story of a captain and some of his men during the Second World War as they accompany convoys in the Atlantic during their cross.
I found the storyline very lacking and boring (if there was one, that is). The overflowing patriotic sentiment did little for me even though I appreciate the fact that the book was written right after the war.
Also, I did not like the way women were pictured in the book. They were shown to be mostly insensitive, unfaithful stay-home wives (or "good" ones ended up dead one way or another).
If I must waste some KitKats on this: 5/10!
