I'm currently year 9: and I will undergo a Melbourne High Exam , essay writing in 15mins, however I did mines in 20mins..Wondering if any advice could be giving... Would be nice =D
Should Melbourne Further Build More Dams?
Melbourne must not build more dams. Dams are destructive in every form, there are other “greener” alternatives. Building more dams is short sighted and will cause the demise of many future generations to come.
Dams are destructive in times of drought. Dams are obstructive to the eco-system. Stopping natural water flows, so dams can provide water for populated areas and cutting water access for local communities and razing land for the dam to be built itself. Dams will only further drought Melbourne.
There are other alternatives that is environmentally friendly and green house emission friendly than the destructive dams. Supplying Melbournians with water tanks with pumps will allow Melbournians to have their own source of water . Dams are destructive, building dams will only further damage the eco system.
Politicians have stated that dams will allow more water to be accessed by Melbournians. However, it is short sighted and will only provoke local communities who will lose access to their water. Provoking Melbournians that the government is being apathetic and provoking green peace to further do more dangerous acts to raise awareness of our current drought.
