Inconsequential death.

To me, the knife wounds
screamed of sharpness.
they went in deep
with clean, clear cut edges.
Penetrating skin, muscle,
sinew, bone.
The resultant remains,
sprawled flaccid,
lividity stained.
Awaiting post-mortem.
Then filing,
as a forgotten report.

The human equivalent
of road-kill...

"just a little bit of fun!"

"Glow Little Gold-Bug"

Glow little gold-bug,
Gleam and glitter,
While many watch you,
Bruised and bitter.

Lost all their money
In the market,
Now in mourning
For their fiat, departed!

Glow little gold-bug,
Gleam and glitter,
Leaving magic gold dust,
Where ere you flitter,

You have no need
Of being told,
What is, ore isn't,
Fool's gold!

Glow little gold-bug,
Brightly burning.
For techs and financials,
You have no yearning,

All forms of hot tips, gently spurning.
Leaving to others,
A costly lesson,
In the learning!

Glow little gold-bug,
Excite your atoms,
Coruscate them
In intricate patterns,

You have no secrets
You must not show,
So,
Glow little gold-bug, glow!

That deft twist of the knife at the end of "Inconsequential Death"! Masterful. And the Glow-worm adaptation, Rev. Goldenrod, I can only hope your parishioners were listening attentively.

Some of the converted must have been listening. One of the large gold sites asked if they could put some of my stuff on a site called "The Golden Bard". That was some time ago and I believe that it is still clickable. Don't know if anyone reads it...:(
