What is the best thing you got for Christmas and what is the worst. It can be anything it doesn't have to be a present..it could be the 'flu!! And also what is the best and also the worst thing you ever had for Christmas?

The best thing I got for Christmas this year was a huge huggy brown bear..not live though, this is why I am still living to tell the tale. The worst was..mmm hard to think. I suppose a pressure cooker which means someone wants me to do some cooking...agh! The worst thing I ever got was tonsilitis when I was a little girl and spent the whole day in bed.

I got a really cute light brown teddy with light blue hooded shirt from sis (the best thingy I guess) and some new personal problems (obviously not too cool).

Best thing: another member ("Psyche") got me a hand-bound, hand-typed collection of sonnets called "Sonnets from the Portuguese" by Elizabeth Barrett-Browning.
Worst thing: lots of candy - my weakness!

the most terrybul thing happened this christmas- I GOT NO BOOKS!!

I can hardly believe that my mom didn't give me a book.

this is the first time in my life this happens, I once got seven, now none.

so the best thing was what my grandmother gave me ( i got the money and bought it my self) it was the cd with evanescence and a male sweater I love them and a snoopy watch.

I was so shure my mom would get me a book so I didn't think of it.

well the worst thing was what I got from my dog I think, it was: a thousand words of happyness... that is not a REAL book to me.

my mom bought it and only makes me sad that she thinks I need it.

I envy you mono I love the sonnets Barrett-Browning wrote, that is a great gift...

The best and most memorable present I received was an Oregon Opal bead (from the exceedingly thoughtful Mono) that perfectly compliments the one I always wear around my neck. They seem to get along quite well. <3
I am also getting the chance to see my father, sister and brother for the first time in a very long time. :)

Ah the best gift ever: Solid pewter assidium playing board and pieces, well the pieces are pewter and the board is 1/2 inch thick glass, with a star map underneath shoing through the glass, and felt bottom...so cool :thumbs_up

Bah the worst gift ever: The gift my Collage gave to me... an invoice for the next semester stating I owe 3100$ for general fees and another 250$ for books...schooling is so expensive!

Hey Bongitybongbong, welcome back, not that I can really say that being away and all, but welcome back nonetheless!!

Best thing: We where invited to my mother . She was feeling quite well this christmas. She and my stepdad was cooking food for two days to be able to provide the traditional swedish christmas table for our big family ( we were 11 people there!)Most of the food, sadly, consists of dead pig. Ham, sasuages, meatballs, ribs. And then there was two kinds of pickled herring, egg with caviar, omelett with shrimp, a kind of dark brown bean stew, home made mustard, a kind of traditional potatoe gratin with hint of anchovy and onions in it, boiled potatoes, majonaise and redbeet sallad, smoked salmon, smoked elk, two kinds of homemade bread, and three kind of cheese. Oh, and snaps. Two kinds of snaps, itīs almost like vodka but better. You drink it to the pickled herring, and sing together before drinking. And then there was the "sweet table" wich is a table covered with homemade sweets - chocolat, toffee , marcipan , home made cookies, deserts, dried fruit, spiced wine...

Worst thing : I still have not received my bodys weight in chocolate. I wish for it every year. Every birthday, greater occasion, christmas. But still... nothing. I got 2 kilo of belgian chocolate starfish, though. Still, a lot of kilos to go. They seem to be treating it like a joke. I do not joke about seroius things like chocolat.
