And so I sit here,
And the tear that has escaped my eye
Slowly makes its salty trail,
And pauses, waiting
At the tip of my nose.
But I will not brush it away.
It stays there,
A world of its own.
It cheers through the birthing pain;
It is thrilled to be alive.

And so I sit here,
In this world of mine
That has just been cried.
As I watch the tear topple off my nose,
Cheering,
I cheer, too,
As my world begins to fall.
For it is the pain that tells me
I’m still alive.

A powerful sorrow can then birth a universe!
Enjoyed reading your poem, original and refreshing.

Of course pains tell things pleasures can not.

It's a good poem showering deep emotions which are generated when one is soaked with pain.

As my world begins to fall.
For it is the pain that tells me
I’m still alive.

I really find your poem interesting and stunning, as someone said. It gave me some kind of breathless feeling in the end, like an epiphany.

Love your poem, Sarasvati-I love the imagery and the metaphor. It's good.
