Hello everyone,
I just signed up at this forum because I just finished my first book, which I am very proud of. Now I would really be glad to hear what other people think about it. The book can be found as a PDF by following the link below ... I believe the text is too long (about 70p.) to be posted within the message. I hope that's ok.

About Me:
I'm a German student and I'll soon celebrate my 19th birthday. English is not my mother-toungue but definitely my favorite way of expression. In writing in English I see both, an opportunity (because someone who is unfamiliar with a language might find ways to use it that are different from the most usual ones) and a certain risk (because some of those ways might turn out actually wrong or at least seem crude). Concerning this book I'm a bit worried about the use of alternative sentence structures (ellipsis). This is why I'd really like to receive some concrete comments on the language.

About the book:
The book is about four kids growing up together. It especially deals with the time when the kids are my age which is the most exciting time I have experienced so far. I like to call it a neoromantic novelette even though it does not unite all the characteristics of a novelette and neoromanticism has never been defined precisely enough to make sure something is neoromantic. Please keep in mind that I have only had 18 years to gather experiences and "wisdom" so the book does not show absolute judgments but rather my point of view on the things it deals with - the view of a youngster of the 21st century.
Warning: I do admit that this book includes some erotic scenes which I believe is necessary to describe the emotional development of a teenager.

And so I already want to thank you beforehand for your hopefully numerous comments. I hope you'll enjoy the prose. And now I'll have a look at some of the other works posted on this page ;)

Kind Regards
Nero

PS: If anyone actually wants to proofread the book (to confirm or erase the doubts I named above) and therefore needs to write his/her comments into the text itself, send me a message and I'll Email you the editable word document. I don't expect anyone to put that much work into it but miracles still happen and if that one would, that would be just awesome.
Regards
