A bad hair day!

I woke up bald this morning!
I'm having a bad hair day!
During the last fifty years, or so,
I was sure it was here to stay.

Thick, luxuriant and curly,
it was my pride and joy.
But, I woke up bald this morning,
no curls with which to toy!

My heads resembled a billiard ball,
uncanny in its way.
Although this particular, duplicate likeness,
was not noticed til today!

Because, I woke up bald this morning,
and it looks like it's the way I'll stay!

I do not know what caused it,
I haven't got a clue!
I haven't used a new hair cream,
or come down with the flu!

I don't think it's caused by an allergy,
that makes your hair fallout,
I don't think that there's a medical cause,
that set my hair to rout!

But, I woke up bald, this morning,
and, I still can't figure it out!

There will be those who'll view my affliction.
with a sudden, astonished, gasp!
And some will look, splutter with uttermost glee. and rude ribald remarks, pass!

I woke up bald this morning,
please tell me it's a dream!
Some gross, outlandish nightmare,
and things aren't what they seem!

Perhaps, if I can go to sleep again,
calm-down my dread despair,
I will wake up again this morning with.
a nice...full head of hair!
