Down the purple hall I proceed,
Each step quicker than that before.
Path lit by scarlet lights who bleed,
At last into view comes the door.
Extended arm, gripping handle,
It opens with my mind still sore.
There you sit so snug and idle,
Your gaze turns toward me standing ill.
No anguish could stop this here smile,
From your beauty does my heart fill.

This haunting poem startles and moves.

I like this one very much. My favorite line has to be "Path lit by scarlet lights who bleed". Thank you for sharing.

"Paths lit by scarlet lights who bleed." Great line. I like the way the narrator seems to be rushing toward something he knows will fill him with pain-yet on he goes.
