Fanny Burney is yet another didactic English novelist who isn't quite as schematic as those who would follow in her wake, if one is patient with the text. I have Cecilia and have forgotten about it, and I don't mean that in a bad way. One of my attendants made me an ad hoc bookcase out of crates and put the novel on the bottom. I looked at it today and said "oh yea" and thought I would throw her hat in the ring.
Here's wiki:

Yes, thank you for mentioning her, she's on the ever-growing, long! list of authors to be added to the site :)

You are most welcome Logos. I am on a rereading kick and might as well start Cecilia over. Since I am sympathetic, maybe I could write an intro that would fly on a future LN page.
Sorry about the long--does LN, like Gutenberg, use volunteers?

That would be wonderful, if you care to write a review of any of Burney's works; they could be posted to the site when the books are eventually added.
There is also the option of writing a review of *any* of the works hosted on the site:

Just follow the link "Fan of this book? Help us introduce it to others by writing an introduction for it. It's quick and easy, click here." that appears on any novels introductory page :)

I will make a note of it. I am about 1/3 through the text and for some reason remember the story arc better than I usually do in between gaps, and reviewing is one of my neglected *forms* so at least with LN I can practice. I did send one in for the weaker Maupassant novel LN lists.
I'll keep trying.;)
