For reasons I shan't go into, I wrote the following little ditty on the occasion of an Irish friend of mine's 17th wedding anniversary:


Happy 17th!

Tura-lura-lural.
Tura-lura-lie,
Today belongs to Irishmen
And I'm going to tell you why!

Back before the world began,
back before the green,
Back before an Ireland,
It was ever seen.

Back before the shamrock,
Back before the sod.
Back before the start of things,
Sure...

AN IRISHMAN WAS GOD!!!

For reasons I shan't go into,

But if I hold your arm behind your back until you have to cry uncle will you tell me then? ;)

I am Irish with a little extra flavor thrown in and me mother used to sing the Irish Lullaby to me all the time.
