Chinghiz Aitmatov died

Great Kyrgyz writer Chinghiz Aitmatov died on 10. june. I have only read his story ''Spotted Dog Running at the Edge of the Sea'' about a boy who remaind alone in a boat on the sea, after all grown-ups had died, and it was very beautiful, there was magic in it.
I have wanted to read his ''The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years'', but I never did. I guess I will now.
Has anyone read his books?
