I find the Aphocryphal book,
The Godpel of Nicodemus facinating. The first part concentrates on the trial and crucifixtion of Christ. An expanded version from the canonical versions. The interesting thing about this uncanonical version of Jesus' trial is that it was in wide use use in the third century. As we go through this trial, Anna and Caiphas said that Jesus was "born through fornication." I can't see what that would have to do with the trial, I know Pilate could care less. After a long drawn out cricifixtion, Jesus dies! That's when things reallly get interesting. Remember the Apostles' Creed? "He decended into hell." Well he does; We start with Adam, and then all the patriarchs and the prophets. Remember Without Christ, no one is saved! In chapter XV :1-2, "While all the saints were rejoicing, Satan, the prince and captain of death, said to the prince of hell, 2, Prepare to receive Jesus of Nazareth Himself, who boasted that he was the Son of God, and yet was a man afraid of death, and said, my soul is sorrowful even to death." Remember many early Christians were saying that on the second day Jesus visited hell and preached to them and many thought everyone was saved. This was another demension, all people from beginning to end were trapped there, except the lucky few that believed here on earth, some even thought that even Satan would come around. Of course neither the Western or Eastern Church excepted this doctrine. This book is out of print. My priest told me not to read these books. All Christians except the same New Testament Canon now. WOW!!!

Just a note, at the end of this book are some thoughts about the war between the antichrist and Christ. I know one source for "The Omen"
