Why does this always happen to me?
Why does it make my emotions well up inside?
tears rise to my eyes then fall
to my face salty to the taste
Does she not realize how she tortures my heart?
Does she know that i gave her my heart?
I laid it at her feet
It was hers and will be forever
She must have forgotten
She had to have forgotten
that it was laid at her feet
for the next thing she did was take a step forward
stepping directly upon it
the pain shooting through me
now lost in the painfull blackness
that many call depression
which is merely a lack of love
