Hey,
I've noticed that people on this forum seem to frown upon Bukowski. I'm guessing there would be similar reactions to Palahniuk. I also enjoy Vonnegut and some Huxley. I was just wondering if there was a section on this forum dedicated to raw 'uneducated' writing, and if not, then maybe someone could redirect me to a more low-brow environment.
Cheers.

heh, well, I don't know about being so high-brow around here ... just check out what they're talking about in General Chat (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10) :D

If you've not already done so, you could search the General Literature forum (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=4) [Huxley has his own... (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=149)] and find many discussions on the authors you have mentioned.

Or, if would be cool if you started your own thread about raw 'uneducated' writing.

And you can post your own "raw" writings here (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=2351) for others to read and review.

Welcome to the Forum!

Hey man, I love Bukowski and Vonnegut. Palahniuk isn't bad either.

Cheers, I found Huxley's thread shortly after posting (thanks Logos).
The few searches I did for Bukowski turned up some talk of him being over-rated (a point that I've come across so often that it simply bores me) and not so much discussion of his life and work. I think it would be good to start up a thread if there isn't one.
cheers for all the replies

We're not too uppity around here;) Start any thread that you would like, and see what comes of it. By the by, I like Vonnegut and I may have to give Huxley a try. I'm always up for something new... when I actually find some time to read that is. Welcome to LitNet:D
