as I emerge my heart into your light
I laugh in spite
of myself
and of the things I've already known
but that I've had to be retold
As your brain grows and your eyes grow
you see the world differently
and it needs to be a certain way
so no one can say
this is wrong
and it is only song
these words that you sing
these thoughts that you dream
your words scream
to me
and cry to me
and die to me
all to be relieved by my soul
which has known
all along
the sheer truth of this song.

As I breath
I search
and struggle
to understand
to listen to God's voice
gently opening my eyes
to who He is
and what I am
to be apart of something
that takes my very breath away

:) Dear Mr.Spudnik,

That was really well said.I personally feel that the unchanging truths of this life is always slowly but surely learnt by everyone, but in varied times. Some will know them too soon and some simply when they are at their life's end. Some at thier moment of crisis, some when just musing on their yesteryears. But the future does hold this truth always ready to be read and felt.

You have described in a few words what should be the basis of all religious belief...

abstract thoughts and prying fingertips
hands that know sunsets
and a life that is beyond death
amarillo and amber
reflects gold off my hair
and birds sing a song of a while back
when I needed the answers
and the confusion never ended
the art always persisted
to see a beauty in a sunset
that never grows old
and a crisp air that never unwinds
to be right back where you started
after running in many circles of heartache and pain
and never understanding the pure truth
because it lies in the essence of wisdom
in life and death
exists a continuum of time
that never stops
moments
mine as well be enjoyed singally
completely
through all of the suffering
always, the essence of wisdom
lies in the moment.

Thanks, I became inspired through the concept of this loving God that I have known since I was a little girl but have stopped understanding as I grow older. I am a dancer and performed a solo with the concept of my journey behind the choreography and I used this poem to start my piece.

Thanks, I hope to always hold the truth close to my heart as my heart and soul continue to change and grow.

MISS spudnik :)
