Yesterday I came from (I like that word) expedition from Scotland. SO beautiful country. Beautiful cities. Different from my country - very cheap clothes. I bought there a suit. f.e. Well I didn't see Nessie but that lake is beautiful. Edinburgh, Sterling, London (that isn't Scottish town) so nice cities. People. Good type of people. In my country they are very different. 9 days. That isn't so much. In future I will go around Europe (galleries, palaces, cities,....) and maybe to America, Asia, Africa or Australia. I have tell it to somebody. :D

Glad you enjoyed your expedition in Scotland and the UK. I am from a city midway between Scotland and London but hope to get up to see Nessie myself this summer

Yes Yorkshire is beautiful, did you visit? We have beautiful moors covered in Heather which gives a purple hue. Historic towns and of course we are a friendly bunch.

I have been to Scotland and I loved it there! My husband and I visited Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. We visited castles and a part of the Highlands, I went up Braveheart's monument - ha! And I got to drive on the other side of the road! We stayed at a B & B where they make the best home-made lemon curd, I had tons of it for breakfast everyday!

It did not occur to me to shop for clothes though:( I can be such a deplorable backslider sometimes! :D

Glad you enjoyed your travels, Amundsen - hold on to that dream! I stopped travelling in the mid 70s, work commitments, financial constraints, family ties, but last year I started again, went to China - a lifelong dream - to Australia after an invitation from a cousin and this year I'm going to South Africa following a comment by a friend that if I liked the wild flowers in Australia I really should see the veldt in spring. Next year? Russia, I hope. The year after? Egypt, I hope. After that, who knows! Dream from your armchair - one day you could make it happen.
