could you please explain me what epiphany is?

I have found that epiphany is a manifestation of God's presence on the world or spiritual state. My question is, in what sense is "the Daffodils" the epiphany for the author? Does his imaginary journey " I wondered lonely as a cloud" express his spiritual state? I'm not sure how should I understand the topic.

Whew!! That's a wonderful word with vast definitions. To keep it simple, maybe it could be a "realization" about something, either sacred or secular. In "Lawrence of Arabia" Lawrence spends all night strugging in a major perplexity. Then in the morning he arrives at a crystal-clear solution to the problem -- "cross the Nefu" desert. They say he is mad; it can't be done. He says "I'll do it." Such break-through experiences can be big or small.
