She falters at the alter
And clatters at his feet
The floor chills her very soul,
For she knows is not worthy

She has dreamed of peering deep into his blue eyes
Though ashamed to reveal the disguise
She is the virgin and the harlot, both one and the same
She shall love him for the rest of her days
Though she is a harlot and he shall always see her this way

The holy priest pulls her up out of lust
But beds her in the way of love

She shivers and shakes
Felling everything bind but dares not to brake
Suddenly its over
The deed is done, out of love and lust

She lies back against the throws
Feeling the passion fade
She wants to turn her head in shame
However, the fear swells inside her, now suddenly she is begging

“Please, my dear sweet priest… forgive me…
For though I may not have the virgin touch because my body has felt the power of lust
My heart shall forever be yours for you are my savior, from the deep…
Please, dear saint forgive me”

He turns his head in shame and pushes her away
She feels compelled to hold in the name of love and so she does
He again pushes her away for to him the action is in vain

She falls apart at the heart and begins to pled
“Please my priest, I beg of you… love me…
For I shall ever love you
I will forever gaze into your heaven sent eyes
Always to grace your godly body
Please love me…”

He tries to explain he is not meant to love her
But is really meant for bigger things
Then swears her to secrecy

She passes through the temple gates so ashamed
For the harlot got her lust
But the virgin never got her love

So many times had I heard tales of love and true romance
Then yesterday it came to me
As simple as it could be

Love can be the truest thing in the whole world, then turn out to be a lie in moment of stubbornness
Love can lift you up to highest heavens or banish you to darkest hells, all within in a grasp
Love can make you cry tears of happiness and sadness at the same time, I wonder why?
Why should such a blessing be such a curse?
Why not just feel pleasure without the pain?
Why should the battle-balance of love and hate strike upon me?

For that is the way of love…
Take it or leave it, that’s how it is…
No hearts and flowers and rarely golden rings…
Not everything is how it seems…

Later on you start to see love in everything he does…
You see that shimmer shine in his eyes that lets you believe there can be something more in-between.
It is not the happily-ever-after you should be looking for but the middle, which is much more profound…

He could be your meant to be but that does not mean drop to one knee…
Don’t be so serious and so obscene just simply hope and be.

If it does not work between the two there can still be love deeper then perceived…
The main ending I want to see, is us happy, whether or not meant to be.

It is not the happily-ever-after you should be looking for but the middle, which is much more profound…

That is the part that meant the most to me.

She passes through the temple gates so ashamed
For the harlot got her lust
But the virgin never got her love

A very provocative conclusion to an intriguing tale.
