Try Norton's Anthology of English literature (major authors). It is pretty thorough in its discussion of each author, the time period and the culture of Britain in general.

I know the title, pity that I cannot buy it in Poland. I found it via Internet but it was quite expensive one. If I'm right it appears in two volumes.

True, but one must be skeptical about each edition. They all seem to have their faults; especially the later ones which include some strange female poets that no one has ever heard of, and no one should ever have heard of. Seriously though, I can't see Queen Elizabeth going down as a literary genius, the same way I can see Philip Sidney, to throw a better comparison than the cliché Elizabethans.

The best is Norton's but there are different Anthologues. The only way is to borrow! I wanted to buy Two Volumes and It would be about more than 200$ beause of shipping maybe I'll do in the future. Now i borrow from the library

I've got this problem if it is necessary one knows about these newly added authors or not!!

Czesc Iza! If you want to read about the Regency period, Jane Austen is the best. For early Victorians, the obvious choice is the Brontë sisters. For the Edwardian age, I'd recommend E. M. Forster.
