Eff you, poetry,
with your slantwise
way of speaking, your metaphors,
similes and zeugmas,
rhyme and corsetted lines!

Sometimes the most eloquent,
most subtly worded poem
one could write is:

I AM IN PAIN!

So true...

Pain, in all its varieties, seems to enshroud most of the world today...has it ever been thus?:(

Or should we say. don't blame the messenger?

I like this. Sometimes I feel like such a liar, not about liking this poem, but, about the fact that I can't just come out and say 'it'. Poets write for many different reasons but often I think it is to hide.
