Things you want to do in life

That life is short is a fact we all know. Yet we do not want to subscribe to this fact. We want to do many things at the same time.

Personally I want to be a great writer. I want to make money. I want to maintain good relationships. I want to secure the afterlife. I want to see god. I want power.

yes, life is so full of demands. I often am advised that I choose from a thousand things, for reality is something we can not do away with. Realities stagger us all the while.

Is compromise a better word in point of fact? For fulfilling all our demands and desires is something out of questions. Possibilities and impossibilities all come in our ways and we must recognize possibilities and understand possibilities.

But more often than not we life adrift with desires aplenty. Swayed we take flights in high altitudes and forget ground realities.

The best choice I perceive is while pursuing higher goals one must learn to be happy wherein one is also. This is the ideal I live with.

I was brought up in a milieu, a little far from ground realities. Immersed in unseen and unknown zones I lived dreamily reveling in things which are otherworldly and unearthly in point of fact.

My parents were die hard orthodoxy and we had longer moments of praying and engrossing in singing spiritual songs.

I was a small kid. The objective of life was to see or realize God. I was programmed thus to like the idea of seeing God in person and indeed was wired to sets of beliefs to the extent that I am still unable to rid my self of the ghosts of my beliefs even after this long time length up to now.

I live under a veil of semi - misted realities. Once I thought I was superior to those who did not worship or pray. I thought I was superior just because I was born and brought up in a Brahman family.

Now I understand different realities. I think I am not just purer and elevated and enlightened just because I know more sacred songs and did more worships and prayers.

Maybe I am waking up to a new dawn of reality now.

Well, I want those very same things too! Although I have no idea what power I would want, except to be dictator of the world. :D

Actually I would add to that list a good family and to leave my family, my country, and the world in a better position. :)

The same with me, a great writer, critic, being an English literature professor at the university, make money as I won't worry about financial problems and whatever I wish I can buy (reasonable things:D ), good relationship with family members, friends, co-workers, and all people around me, of course secure the afterlife ,and be as near as possible to God. And one thing, see beyond what ordinary people see and feel. I want power as I control myself and be a good leader in what I do, I never bother myself being a political power, as I think all is vain. And being an artist not professional in painting, photography, and music. What I want from life?!! I know I can get my wishes from life but takes time. And other main demand is a good family.

Being thankful for what we have, we gain more.

I don't want to be an idol of dictatorship, as the call of consience is so powerful in me, that does not let me sleep a night. I want to sleep in comfort ;)


Actually I would add to that list a good family and to leave my family, my country, and the world in a better position. :)

And the same with me! If others have great demans I will think about them, too. :D

I want a life to be great in every aspect, when leaving I be happy I do something not just making more troubles and problems in this world.

I got, but most poeple like to have the power if not over a society in smaller scale on the friends, family, group like a dictator. One can become Hitler, other just a tiny-Hitler :D

Oh I don't want any power over my friends. For what? We probably wouldn't be friends. And my family already has all the power over me that is possible. :lol:
