Peace be upon you!
According to my believe, among the attributes of God there is one called AL-RAZZAQ, it means THE PROVIDER. AL-Razzaq provides Rizk and Rizk means:
1- The provision which is continually granted whether in this world or in Hereafter.
2- food, sustenance, nourishment, rainfall.
3- everything which is beneficial.
God has made systems of provisions. He provides through these. For example, agricultural part of the crop is used by human and rest is food for animals. Yet some aspects of this large subject are not understood.
Powerfully said by God that He alone Who provides : And there is no creature that moves on the earth but it is for Allah to provide it with sustenance. And He knows its place of temporary settlement and permanent abode. All this is recorded in clear Book. (reference Quran, chapter 11 : verse 7) +
And how many an animal there is that carries not its sustenance! Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing (29:61)
Sustenance for mankind is for this world and for Hereafter. Spirituality and good deeds are required for provision in Hereafter.
God sends Prophets to bestow spiritual nourishment. I beleive, God sent the everlasting best spiritual nourishment through holy Quran and the holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him and all prophets) which continues by the promised Ahmadiyya refomer in this era.
These are the days when by and large, everyone is facing food and other shortages despite best efforts through advanced technology and wealth. It means everything is not in man's hand.
Not valuing the spiritual sustenance can lead to losing the material provisions too. The general lesson : And Allah sets forth the parable of a township which enjoyed security and peace; its provisions come to it in plenty from every quarter; but it denied the favours of Allah, so Allah made its dwellers taste a life wrapped in hunger and fear as a consequence of what they used to do. (16:113)
The most excellent part of the spiritual provision is worship of God, specially the Salat.
May everyone has the best provision here and in Hereafter.
