View Full Version : The feel of the day

Every day I wake up to different moods
Sometimes very jubilant,
sometimes funnily joyous.

But life goes on despite my moods

There are struggles in every step of life
The same primitive struggle pierces man
Honestly speaking, life is much tougher
For a handful of joys we have to carry sacks of strifes

We are actors, and present ourselves differently
We have little of ourselves and more of "foreign"

Conditions, both external or internal guide my course
Like a pendulum I move to and fro
Trying indeed to adopt to what comes in my way

I try to define myself and fail
Through religiosity I often try to see the infinity
Through reality I come back to my tiny self

Thus I go to bed at the end of the day
With a range of moods, unsettled.

I was hooked by the title, and the poem did not disappoint, especially with that purposefully anti-climactic conclusion. Well done.

Liked the tone of this poem!
The pendulum indeed swings, sometimes wide enough to be dangerous!

goldenrod.

Good work Blaze. Yes, life moves one in despite of our moods. And yes, you've concluded beautifully!
