I am relatively new to literary theory and criticism. I am to write a 6-7 page application paper on Dorian Gray. I need to choose a theoretical position (or more than one) and use textual support to develop an argument. I am having difficult time getting started as I am not that familiar with the theories. Could anyone give me some explicit advice and perhaps some examples of how to get this underway? Thank you!
