Colours with no name,
Sounds, full unfamiliar,
Sidewide thoughts that twist the brain?

Deep, somewhere out beyond the here,
A long life of light away,
Does another being rule,
Does another hold full sway?

Two pieces of a puzzle?
The only common theme,
For there is formless nightmare,
There is no sharing of a dream.

No shifting to first contact.
No way it can begin.
Two haunted ships, passing in the night.
No riding lights...unseen.
