I am a poet
I could be an illiterate drifter in a tribe.

I am ethically inclined
I could be a ruthless dictator.

I am a philanthropist
I could be a terrorist, a suicide-bomber

I am a saver of life
I could be a war-monger, a taker of life

I am a pundit
I could be a fool, someone who could be mocked at.

Everyone can be everyone, only a step behind or ahead
For a bud can bloom and fade away

Everyone has has the capacity for being all
And of course to be lost in myriad realities non -existentially

A big tree is just a step ahead of a seed
A seed can be pulverized and destroyed in an instant
A tree has boundless opportunities to bear a million seeds.

All exist just a step ahead or behind

liked the idea and how you presented it.
alot of people seem to forget that they have the capacity for both worlds, and it`s always nice to be reminded of our nature every now and then.

wonderful poem and a great thought.

Circumstance plays a greater role in the final numbers shown when the cast dice come to rest than most of us realize, or would admit. "And there, but for the grace of God, go I!"

Your poem says it all...
