Here I sit
In a 3D cinema
Being told that belief
Is the key to everything

And the children
Laugh with delight
When they see these images
Moving, living before their very eyes

And isn't this
Like an academy
For planting a seed
In the minds of these kids?

When was it
That the world
Became the arena
For egotistic self-belief?

There was a time
When what you knew
Determined your success
And fashioned your pathway.

Now all that matters
Is the ability to convince
Your audience that you’re right
That what you say is of best value.

We used to buy
What was time-serving
And reliable, those purposeful
Products that were dependable

Now we buy
Whatever they
Want us to want
They make us desire.

Is it any wonder
The problems of our
World still remain with us?
I should leave this cinema now.
