The bacon flew, shrapnel-like,
in all directions
when pierced by a fork.
The eggs over easy,
not drillable by a Jack-hammer!
The home-fries, carbonized,
One step short of becoming diamonds!
The coffee, was it coffee?!
Truly, could be called, mud!

The toast....perfection!!!

I really like this one. Very terse, and yet vivid.

Somewhat payful but I can't escape that it's trying to convey something else... nicely done :D

Perhaps this will help:

"I can tell my wife's moods
by the things she cooks.
What I hate most?
BURNT TOAST!":)

This is an uncommon poem, and indeed it is a beauty. The poet is far from the usual and think out of the box and that is why it touches me.

It came about after a reflection that my wife will only eat bacon cooked to the nth degree and a wonder as to what most other foods would be like if teated in a like manner????:)

Your comments are indeed appreciated, thank you "blazeofglory"

An ingenious way to read a person's moods. What or how does she cook, pray tell, when she's feeling...... amorous?

My wife can cook up a storm, so anything might set me off, crossed signal or not!
