goldenrod

comes late fall,
the leaves, which tremble,
yellow or red-flamed upon the tree,
fall prey to death, quite naturally!
In their hundreds scatter,
reach the ground
and tis there,
their graves are found.
the tree stands stark,
skeleton bare,
nothing live
apparent there.
who would have thought
to invent a spring
and thus, to life,
a cycle bring?!
goldenrod.
