Clouds' Duty

What could it be made of?
It could be gods great sponge,
or maybe just his play doh.
No… it couldn’t be just water.
It’s a link, a gear.

It leaves me staring,
what’s it’s rush?
They are on a quest,
to a place of lush.
It’s a gear.

Its mission?
Nourish the green
and dwell in blue.
To live a life of renewal,
in a world only headed
one Way.
It’s a link.

O cloud,
drain yourself
routinely;
for the sake of a cycle
do not break the chain,
do not stall the mechanism.

We rely,
We rely,
We never repay.

Gift of paralysis;
throwing punches
at ocean waves

Smoogles,

First of all, I love the image!

Anyway, moving on to the poetry.
I liked:
"Its mission?
Nourish the green
and dwell in blue.
To live a life of renewal,"
and
"We rely,
We rely,
We never repay."

It's not really a topic I would find myself writing about, but hey, it works :)

Yes, thank you I tried to inspire the thought of mechanics in nature in relation to the human tendency to be wasteful and abusive. I am new to the use of repetition, but I'd like to get decent at it.

After reading your poem I have decided to wait for a fine day...relax on the grass and take a long look at passing clouds...from your perspective!
