"Here, living a life ain't easy, you know,
always have to chase the Grim reaper
gesturing toward the grave,
and I'm frazzled," she says.
She utters in a trembling voice,
"To live just one life,
many deaths we have to die
and I'm really scared.
To live just one day,
there's a big price we have to pay."
With the tears rolling down her face,
She embraces him and exclaims,
"So, I'm burying my shattered dreams here
before leaving this place
and hope that we'll meet once again
if you and I remain alive,
in this Earth,
till next round.

Any constructive comment would be appreciated.

Lament (Updated version)

"Here, living a life ain't easy, you know,
always have to chase the Grim reaper
gesturing toward the grave,
and I'm frazzled," she says.

She utters in her trembling voice,
"To live just one life,
with many deaths we have to fight,
and I'm really scared.
To live just one day,
there's a big price we have to pay
and we're nothing more than the slave to the wage."

With the tears rolling down her face,
She embraces him and exclaims,
"So, I'm burying my shattered dreams here
before leaving this place
and hope that we'll meet
sometimes again, somewhere,
if you and I remain alive
in this Earth till the next round.

I like the direct speech. It brings a sense of immediacy to the moment, brings it straight to the heart, you know.
I really like it.

Why?

If living means just to die,
and dying means to live just an another life
or disappear from this planet forever?
why on this earth we're rambling and gambling?
I ask myself before I end my day,
everyday,
emphasizing,
"What really is the essence of life?"

Ageing (II)

Life is ageing secretly,
moving strangely,
and crawling blindly toward the mouth of death,
holding the hands of mighty ageless time.

Makes me think that each moment of life is precious, when death is so all encompassing...
