Can anyone help me with:
What are the stark perceptions presented in Shakespeare's King Lear and Peter brooks interpretation?
Thanks.

Stark is:
Lear's view of love and respect in the dividing of his kingdom.
Gloucester's view of the 'treachery' of son Edgar.
Edmund's view of the meaning of love (with Cornwall as his 'father')
Goneril and Regan's view of loyalty to others

If you mean the black & white film with Paul Schofield, I found that awfully bleak, yes, and couldn't finish it. It was really slow plus looked like cave-man days--ugh! But, I like Schofield--great actor in other things.
